TORONTO, December 27, 2019 – Hamilton Capital Partners Inc. (“Hamilton ETFs”) confirmed today the special distributions for its suite of financial services ETFs for the period ended December 31, 2019. Please note this is an update to the estimated special distributions previously announced on December 20, 2019.

The final distributions, which are unchanged from those previously announced, are noted in the table below. The ex-dividend date for the special cash distributions is December 30, 2019, for all unitholders of record on December 31, 2019. The distributions will be paid in cash, or if the unitholder has enrolled in the dividend reinvestment plan (DRIP), reinvested in additional units of the ETF, on or about January 13, 2020.

As noted and previously estimated, Hamilton ETFs confirmed that none of its five ETFs will have a non-cash capital gain to be distributed to ETF unitholders.

  1. Distributions for Hamilton Global Bank ETF are declared and paid in Canadian dollars, including those listed under the U.S. dollar traded ticker HBG.U. The approximate U.S. dollar equivalent distribution rate for HBG.U is US$0.13068 per unit. For unitholders who hold the U.S. dollar traded HBG.U, distribution payments will typically be converted to U.S. dollars by the unitholder’s account holder.
  2. Distributions for Hamilton U.S. Mid-Cap Financials ETF (USD) are declared and paid in U.S. dollars. The approximate Canadian dollar equivalent distribution rate for HFMU is $0.05339 per unit. For unitholders who hold the Canadian dollar traded HFMU, distribution payments will typically be converted to Canadian dollars by the unitholder’s account holder.
  3. For the period October 25, 2019 to December 15, 2019. As previously announced on October 28, 2019, unitholders of Hamilton Australian Financials Yield ETF will distribute capital gains through October 25, 2019 to unitholders of record on October 24, 2019.
