Estimated final distributions
As announced on April 28, 2020, Hamilton ETFs has proposed, subject to obtaining the required securityholder and regulatory approvals, to merge the following ETFs on or about June 26, 2020:
TERMINATING FUND | CONTINUING FUND | |||

Hamilton Global Bank ETF | HBG | –> | Hamilton Global Financials ETF | HFG |
Hamilton Global Financials Yield ETF | HFY | –> | Hamilton Global Financials ETF | HFG |

The Terminating Funds are required to distribute to unitholders any income or net realized capital gains accumulated year-to-date (“final distribution”). Currently, there are not expected to be any final distributions to be distributed to unitholders of the Terminating Funds over and above the cash distribution described previously. A press release confirming the final capital gains distribution rate, if any, will be disseminated on or soon after the effective date of the merger.
The final distributions, if there are any, will not be paid in cash but will be reinvested and reported as taxable distributions and will be used to increase each unitholder’s adjusted cost base for the respective Continuing ETF. The ex-dividend date for this distribution is anticipated to be June 23, 2020, for all unitholders of record on June 24, 2020. In early 2021, the tax characteristics of all 2020 distributions will be reported to brokers via CDS Clearing and Depository Services Inc.
